Our Founding Story
Growing up in a rural and hard to reach community, I knew at first sight that the suffering arising from poverty, Gender Based Violence, climate change effects, lack of access to genuine, quality and affordable Agro-inputs was normal.
For smallholder business owners and smallholder farmers, the line between flourishing and struggling often comes down to small differences in financial income, business skills, record keeping, planting technique, access to low cost high quality of seeds and supplies, pre and post-harvest handling and access to market for their produce. In Sub-Saharan Africa, most people living on $2 a day are farmers and small business owners. For Uganda, more than 80 percent of community members are engaged in small-scale farming and business operations.
This has inspired our team to come up with Low-Cost High Impact approaches like Bikasave as a Revolutionary platform that has the potential to transform the way people manage their Savings, Loans and Invest their Money in Small businesses and Agricultural ventures.

Our CSR Approach
From the little proceeds we get at the end of the year, Bikasave is powered by Wilmat Development Foundation to provide specialized capacity building trainings, Financial literacy tailored trainings, free seedlings to struggling farmers, basic needs to needy families like, sanitary pads, clothes, scholastic material and beddings to the needy persons in Busoga and Western regions of Uganda.
